FOR SEVERAL YEARS WE ACQUIRED MANY PROJECTS BIKES, DISMANTLED AND REASSEMBLED AS SHOWN IN THE ‘REBIRTH OF A BONNIE’ SEQUENCE UNDER OUR SERVICE SECTION ON THIS SITE.

THIS WAS PHASED OUT A FEW YEARS AGO.

IT TAKES VIRTUALLY AS LONG TO RECONSTRUCT A RIDER AS A RESTORATION, BASIC DIFFERENCES BEING 100% ACCURACY WITH HARDWARE, EXACTLY CORRECT FINISHES AND TEXTURES, CABLE ROUTING AND SO ON. IF A REBUILD TAKES A MINIMUM OF TWO HUNDRED HOURS AND POWER SPORT SHOP RATES VARY BETWEEN $60-$100 AN HOUR, IT DOESN’T TAKE MUCH TO FIGURE OUT COSTS. THEN THERE’S PARTS, PAINT AND MACHINE SHOP WORK AND SO ON. THROW IN TIME FOR SOURCING, TAKING OUT/PICKING UP FROM MACHINE SHOPS AND PAINTERS ETC., ETC.....

IT IS SIMPLY NOT COMMERCIALLY VIABLE FOR US TO UNDERTAKE WHAT IS REQUIRED AND THEN OFFER THE FINISHED PRODUCT FOR WHAT APPARENTLY POTENTIAL OWNERS SEE AS A VALUE. UNFORTUNATELY IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO OBTAIN THE RIGHT KIND OF HELP WHO REGARD EARNING A LIVING WAGE AS IMMATERIAL AND WANT TO REBUILD VINTAGE MOTOR CYCLES PURELY FOR PLEASURE.
